Consular section open to the public Monday to Friday, 09:00–12:00, by prior appointment. Schengen visa applications, Austrian passport issuance and renewal for Austrian nationals resident in the 10-country region, civil-registry acts, notarial powers of attorney and apostille on Austrian documents are all handled in person at the Consular Section. Closed on Austrian public holidays (1 January, 6 January Epiphany, Easter Monday, 1 May, Ascension, Whit Monday, Corpus Christi, 15 August Assumption, 26 October National Day, 1 November All Saints, 8 December Immaculate Conception, 25 and 26 December) and on South African public holidays.
